I adore our little pet but I really don’t have the time or space for him. He was a gift to us (NEVER give someone a animal for a gift) but he has never settled into our extremely busy life style. I tried to tote him around with me but the heat and cold make it challenging. He is very good about hiding in his little bag and never giving himself away but there are times when I leave the house at daybreak and don’t return until very late. He cant go in everywhere with me. It just isn’t fair to him to live such an isolated life. He is by far the most gentle animal I’ve ever met but I have had no luck finding the right family for him. He is also very smart, learning new tricks anytime I work with him. Seems to me that someone would love to have him around. Well, if you have any ideas, please pass them this way. Thank you so much. Me.

Try craigslist and ask for an adoption fee to weed out the possibility of having your pup passed on to another home.
You can also place an ad at dollarminer.com…it’s a free classified site.

Go to a local PetSmart. They have boards that you can put up saying that you’re selling, giving away, lost, or found pets.

Do a little research and see if there are any no kill shelters in your area I did this with my neighbors cat she abandoned. They gave me some good advice and even sent me a questionaire with good questions to ask potential adopters. most local news papers will run an adoption ad for free as long as you are not trying to sell it. you can also take a picture of it and post it on craigs list . Good Luck

See if there is a Yorkie Rescue group in your area, or
if there isn’t a breed specific group, ask around to find
which rescue groups in your area have the best reputation
for finding dogs good homes. Check out your local humane
shelter (if its a no-kill shelter) You don’t want to just give
your dog to anyone who asks. Some labs have people that
“adopt” dogs for the labs use, other people are ones that
shouldn’t have a dog–sometimes they have flunked out
from adopting from a shelter or rescue group. A reputable
rescue group will really check out the adopting people,
and follow up on the dog to make sure that it is in a happy home. So take the time to find a good group that will find
your dog the right home. You didn’t say where you lived,
I am in the SF Bay area, I foster dogs for RocketDog Rescue,, there are a lot of good rescue groups in this area,
like Second Chance Rescue, A Leg Up, the Milo Foundation.
Do a little research and find the best group in your area.

Ask around at work, family and friends if they or someone they know would like a wonderful pet like yours. Also you might post flyers about him at the local vet clinics and pet shops in your area. Whatever you do, please meet with the people first and make sure that they will be suitable and responsible pet owners. Also try to do a follow up visit with them a few weeks or even a month down the road just to make sure they really are taking good care of him. I have read too many horror stories of people giving away a loved pet because it doesn’t fit their lifestyle, only to have that pet placed with someone who mistreats it or does not care for it properly. Best of luck to your pup that he finds a deserving and loving home.
